We work on garage doors, openers, springs, and tracks for houses across the Amarillo area. Most of the homes we get called to were built somewhere between 1983 and 2013, with a lot of that stock sitting around the late 1990s mark. That matters more than people think. Openers from that era are getting old enough that parts are harder to source, and torsion springs sized for those original doors aren't always what's sitting on the shelf today. We tell you what we find when we're in your garage, not before. If a spring is the cheap fix and the opener board underneath it is already failing, we say so instead of letting you pay twice. We don't inflate a job to make a truck roll worth it, and we don't talk you into a full door replacement when a new roller set and a lube job will get you another several years. Cold winters here mean steel doors move, seals shrink, and bottom brackets take a beating - that's a pattern we see across the service area, not a one-off. If you want a plain answer about whether your door needs a part or needs to go, that's what you get on the phone or at the door, not a sales pitch dressed up as advice.
The Areas We Cover
We're based at 720 S. Tyler in Amarillo and run jobs across the service area, including out to Bushland, about 13 miles out, and Canyon, roughly 15 miles down the road. With around 6,332 households in the area and close to 2,974 owner-occupied houses, there's a wide range of door ages and opener brands to work on, and we've seen most of them. Household income here runs well above the national median, which tends to mean more owners opting for a real repair or a quality replacement instead of a patch job meant to last a season. Call ahead and we'll give you a window for the day, not a vague promise. If you're outside our normal run, ask - we may still be able to get to you, but we'd rather tell you no than show up two hours late.
